Welcome to Troco’s Privacy Policy. Troco Technology values personal data and takes privacy very seriously. TROCO is a Nigerian technology platform that provides marketplace, escrow services, XpressWallet, product inspection, and ride booking.

"Personal information" refers to facts or viewpoints regarding a specific person or someone who may be easily identified. The personal data that Troco Technology collects and/or retains is covered by this Privacy Policy. This policy will be reviewed frequently and may be updated from time to time.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following to provide our services:

  1. Personal Information: Full name, email address, phone number, profile picture, date of birth
  2. Financial Information: Bank account details, wallet balance, transaction history for XpressWallet operated in partnership with Providus Bank
  3. Location Information: Precise and approximate location when using Ride booking or setting product pickup location
  4. User Content: Product photos, business listings, chat messages, inspection photos and videos
  5. Device & Usage Data: Device model, IP address, app version, crash logs, pages visited
  6. Payment Data: Card and bank details are processed by Providus Bank and Paystack. We do not store your full card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  1. Provide escrow services for safe buying and selling
  2. Process deposits, withdrawals and transfers via XpressWallet
  3. Enable ride booking, driver matching and delivery tracking
  4. Allow you to create business listings and free online stores
  5. Verify identity and prevent fraud
  6. Send order updates, notifications and promotions
  7. Improve the app and show VIP advertising

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share with:

  1. Providus Bank: To operate XpressWallet and process payments
  2. Payment Partners: Paystack, Flutterwave for transactions
  3. Drivers: Pickup and drop-off location for ride services
  4. Buyers/Sellers: Contact info to complete marketplace transactions
  5. Government Agencies: If required by Nigerian law

4. Data Security

We protect your data using encryption. XpressWallet funds are held in segregated accounts with Providus Bank. We use industry standard security measures.

5. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion by emailing support@troco.ng. Transaction records are kept for 7 years for legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your data. You can disable location and personalized ads in App Settings.

You are entitled to seek access to the personal data that Troco has on file about you. Most of your personal data can be accessed by signing into your account. Contact us if you need additional information or a portable copy of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

TROCO is not for users under 18 years. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We will notify you of any changes by updating the date above.
